My favorite lymphatic tools & why.

I am a Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner and certified lymphatic drainage therapist who also has a passion for educating others on environmental factors and encourages habit stacking healthy habits into the day. The key to any wellness journey is being consistent with our efforts.

The lymphatic system became a huge focus of mine in my own health journey due to my MTHFR mutation. I found myself struggling to detox well and making a bigger effort to support my drainage pathways and lymphatic system has been a huge part of my healing journey.

Along the way, I have found the following lymphatic tools that have been incredibly helpful at making this effort easier and more effective.

The whole body vibration activity benefits your health in numerous ways. The high-frequency oscillations that are produced by the vibration plate go through your body affecting positively every cell, tissue, and organ on their way. The vibrations speed up your metabolism, increase muscle movement, improve circulation and promote optimal lymph drainage.

There is a significant volume of scientific evidence, such as this study, that proves the use of vibration therapy for lymphatic drainage. The whole-body vibration stimulates the lymphoid system to get rid of excess toxins more efficiently, and increases the immune response in the lymph nodes, thus allowing the body to build a better defense against diseases.

The Chi Machine offers many benefits similar to a therapeutic massage. These benefits include temporarily relief of minor muscle aches, pains, and tension caused by fatigue or overexertion. It temporarily increases circulation. It also locally relaxes muscles promoting a greater sense of well-being! According to an Australian study, it promotes lymphatic drainage and movement. Recent studies have even shown that massage may benefit Anxiety, Stress, Insomnia, Fibromyalgia, Lymphedema, and Headaches.

Vigorous exercise such as rebounding [jumping on a therapeutic mini-trampoline] is reported to increase lymph flow by 15 to 30 times. Also, bones become stronger with exercise. Vertical motion workouts such as rebounding are much different and much more beneficial and efficient than horizontal motion workouts, such as jogging or running.

Dry brushing your skin is a daily body massage with a dry, stiff-bristled brush that’s said to help get rid of flaky skin, increase circulation, detoxify, help digestion, promote optimal lymph flow – and even improve the appearance of cellulite.

The mechanical action of dry brushing is excellent for exfoliating rough, dry skin, she says. “Dry brushing unclogs pores in the exfoliation process. It also helps detoxify your skin by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage,” says Dr. Khetarpal. Also, by unclogging pores, it’s easier for the body to sweat and eliminate toxins in your system.

Dry brushing can make you feel good since it has the additional benefit of stimulating your nervous system. It can also leave you feeling invigorated like a massage often does.

Gua sha is an old chinese technique that uses a small flat stone, that is also known as skin scraping.

When gua sha is Used correctly it can also encourage lymphatic drainage and create a lifted appearance.

CO Packs works by stimulating your lymph and liver function by increasing your lymphocyte count, which allows the body to speed up the process of removing toxins from your tissues.
